Elgin recorded their biggest victory of the season as they routed Third Division bottom club Montrose.Shane Sutherland swept a low left-footed strike past Andrew McNeil before Chris Hegarty's second booking saw him dismissed for the home side.

Gavin Morrison finished from close range to put Elgin further ahead four minutes after the break.

Two late Craig Gunn goals sealed the win, the first from just inside the area and the second from closer in.
