Montrose claimed all three points and leapfrogged Arbroath into seventh place in Scottish Division Three thanks to three first-half goals.Alan Campbell opened the scoring with a header from 12 yards in the eighth minute, then Christopher Hegarty added another 10 minutes later from distance.

Paul Tosh completed the first-half rout in the 32nd minute, collecting a Thompson cross to score from 20 yards.

Arbroath's Robert Ross headed in late on, but Aaron Sinclair cleared.
