Montrose will be without the suspended Ross McCord when they host Annan as the midfielder was sent off against Clyde in the Links Park side's last game.
Also missing for the Gable Endies are Jonny Crawford and Colin Wilson, who have hamstring injuries, with Stephen McNally and Lloyd Young are both ruled out through work commitments.
Manager Stuart Garden said: "We know that we can get back into the top four with a win and that has to be our aim. We lost to Annan earlier in the season but we actually played well in that game.
"The same level of performance and a better result would be great."
Annan will be under-strength when they face Montrose as their absentee list has been added to by Rangers' decision to recall Andy Mitchell at the end of his loan spell.
Missing for the Galabank men are goalkeeper Alex Mitchell who has been ill and the injured Peter Weatherson (knee), Steven Black (ankle), Iain Chisholm (knee), David Hopkirk (foot), Chris Jardine (calf) and Steven Logan (foot).
Manager Jim Chapman said: "We are short on numbers when demands are high as we are playing again on Saturday. We will just get on with things and this would be a great game to win as we shoot back up the table."
