Lunan back as boss issues warning

Paul Lunan returns from suspension to take his place in the Montrose side to face Stirling.

But Jonathan Crawford remains out with a knee problem, and Links Park boss Stuart Garden has warned his third-placed side that Stirling pose a massive threat.

Garden said: "In our last meeting Stirling played well and we played poorly and they were worthy 3-1 winners. That win started off a great run from them that has seen them lose only once in 12 games so we need to be at our best to win the three points.

"If we win it makes it easier for us to get to the play-offs and harder for Stirling and that is our aim."

Trialist Cameron MacDonald, who played for Montrose against Rangers last Saturday, has now left the club and will not feature.

Stirling welcome back defender Jamie Bishop after a two-game ban as they look to keep their play-off hopes alive.

The Forthbank side are without Brian Allison, who has an injured ankle, while player/manager Greig McDonald remains out following knee surgery.

McDonald said: "We are on a great run and have only lost once in 12 games which is terrific progress but we are still only an outside bet for the play-offs.

"Our good run started with a 3-1 win over Montrose and it would be great to keep it going with another win over them.

"We have five big games coming up and winning this one would be a great start to them. All we can do is win our games and see where we end up."
