Queens Park V Montrose at Hampden Park - Match Preview

Brough back for Queen's stadium bow

Bottom side Queen's Park will look to begin their tenancy at Airdrie's Excelsior Stadium with a win over Montrose.

Defender Jamie Brough is available after a two-game ban and could replace Ross Fisher, who is struggling with illness.

Grant Mosson (hamstring) and James Baty (shoulder) remain on the sidelines.

Spiders head coach Gardner Speirs said: "Hopefully we can start our time away from Hampden with a win. If we are to do, then we have to keep our concentration at key times.

"We were two goals ahead at Elgin last week but losing a goal just before half-time took some confidence away."

Montrose have added to their squad ahead of their trip to Queen's Park, with attacking midfielder Jamie Reid joining on loan from Dundee.

Gareth Rodger has been ruled out with a knee injury and work commitments keep Lloyd Young on the sidelines.

Manager Stuart Garden is keen to win back the three points he lost to Queen's in October.

"Queen's Park are a better side than their points tally would indicate and, of course, won 2-1 at our place in injury time," he said. "It would be good to get three points from their home fixture to make up for that."
