Montrose 0-1 Queens Park- Match Report

Queens leave it late to snatch points

Jamie Longworth's last-minute goal was enough for Queens Park to see off 10-man Montrose at Links Park.

Both sides were frustrated by fine goalkeeping performances in the first-half.

Gary Wood was first to test visiting keeper Neil Parry but he was denied by a flying save in the opening stages.

The Spiders were next to attack but Ian Watt's effort was acrobatically tipped over the crossbar by Michael Andrews.

Parry was called into action again on the half-hour mark, producing a fine double save from Scott Johnston and then Wood.

Chances were at a premium in the second half and the hosts were reduced to 10 men in the 74th minute when Paul Lunan was dismissed for his challenge on Watt.

The hosts made the numerical advantage count in the final minute when Longworth fired home from substitute Owen Ronald's cross.
