Gray day pleases Montrose

Three first half goals gave Montrose a second win of the season as they comfortably beat East Stirling 3-1 at Links Park.

Leighton McIntosh met David Gray's right-wing cross six yards out to slot the hosts into a 16th minute lead before Gray doubled the advantage from the penalty spot five minutes later.

Shire defender Steve Jackson was penalised for handball in the box and midfielder Gray made no mistake, planting the ball into the bottom right-hand corner from 12 yards.

Terry Masson fired in Gary Wood's pass from 12 yards to make it three just after the half hour mark.

East Stirling defender Craig Hume drilled into the bottom left-hand corner to pull one back four minutes from time as John Coughlin saw his side lose their two-game winning run.
