Gable Endies seal victory

John Crawford's injury-time goal proved to be just enough for Montrose to secure a 3-2 victory at Peterhead in a topsy-turvy Third Division clash.

The Gable Endies went in ahead at the interval courtesy of an own goal from Ryan Strachan, who put through his own net following a goalmouth scramble with 15 minutes gone.

David McGowan extended the visitors' lead with 62 minutes played, curling home left-footed after good work from Terry Masson down the wing.

Strachan went someway to redeeming himself as he drove home from 18 yards to reduce the deficit with 17 minutes remaining.

But after a tense finale, Crawford clipped the ball into the top of the net deep into added time, before Martin Bavidge stabbed home at the other end to reduce the arrears but there was not enough time for the hosts to find a leveller.
