Queens Park secured a play-off place with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Montrose.

Jamie Longforth gave the hosts the lead with a close-range volley after Martin McBride found him inside the box.

Longforth added a second goal when David Anderson played him in on the left-hand side of the area and he steered his shot beyond Ramiro Gonzalez.

The scorer turned provider in the 76th minute as Longforth squared the ball for Ian Watt to find the bottom right corner.

Watt responded in kind, crossing from the left wing to provide Longforth with a header to complete his hat-trick in the 83rd minute.

Montrose did grab a late consolation with a fine strike, Terry Masson collecting from a Simon Murray pass and scoring from 25 yards after 86 minutes.
